As more and more companies begin to utilize texting to grow their business, regulation continues to grow as well. SMS Carriers are routinely blocking and flagging texts as spam, reducing deliverability over time.

Users must abide by all texting regulations listed by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Customers must opt-in to receive text messages from an organization.

Here are some recommendations to keep your SMS from being blocked by carriers. Repeated carrier violations will lead to reduced deliverability.

  1. Register your account for 10DLC with your EIN. Carriers are moving toward blocking all texting that are not from a registered account.

  2. Make sure that you are not drip texting numbers outside the allowed hours.

  3. Have clear opt in and opt out language in your initial text message.

  4. Clearly identify who you are and what company you’re from.

  5. Allow leads to be drip texted slowly over time if uploading a large lead list.

  6. Avoid certain words that carriers considered spamming language.

  7. Keep your texts short.

  8. When a client opts out or asks to be put on the Do Not Call List (DNC) Immediately stop all communications.

We at Enterprise Sales Software Inc (SalesGodCrm) appreciate your business and want you to be able to communicate with your clients and prospects as effectively as possible. Following these tips will allow you to do so.
